Cautious Clay

Cautious Clay, the alter ego of Joshua Karpeh, is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from New York. Inspired by a mix of hip-hop, R&B, indie, and soul, he creates lo-fi electronic pop. After releasing his autobiographical album KARPEH, he found new rhythm and inspiration in Philadelphia, which led to the conceptual project The Hours: Morning—a mixtape-like ode to the early hours of the day. With eight tracks, each capturing a specific moment in the morning, Karpeh showcases his versatility in a fresh balance of personal reflection and pop precision. After previously sold-out shows in our Upstairs Room at Paradiso and at Bitterzoet, he returns to Amsterdam on December 9 for a concert at Tolhuistuin.
