Kiefer

Kiefer Shackelford is a jazz pianist and electronic music producer from Los Angeles. After studying at the conservatoire, he released his self-released debut album ‘Kickinit Alone’ in 2017. In his productions, he bridges genres like hip-hop, jazz, soul, funk and house, but you can also hear his classically trained ear and the influences of legendary jazz musicians like Herbie Hancock and Bill Evans. The release of his debut album attracted the attention of fans, critics and fellow musicians worldwide: Kiefer signed a record deal with iconic hip-hop label Stones Throw and, in recent years, artists such as Anderson .Paak, Kaytranada, Moses Sumney and SiR have lined up to work with him. Since the release of his first album, he has certainot bactiveidle and four more albums followed in quick succession, with his latest ‘It’s Ok, B U’ just out. See Kiefer at Tolhuistuin on 1 February.
