Samora Pinderhughes is an American pianist, composer and activist known for his unique musical style and social engagement. His music is hard to pigeonhole; it sounds like a mix of indie, soul, jazz and alternative R&B and is steeped in social and political themes and serves as a form of protest and awareness-raising. To his credit, he now has two full-length albums: 2016’s “The Transformations Suite” and 2022’s “GRIEF. He has also collaborated with legends such as Herbie Hancock and Lauryn Hill. After his special concert at Super-Sonic Jazz Festival 2022 and an impressive show at North Sea Jazz 2023, he will return to Amsterdam for a concert in Tolhuistuin on November 10, 2023.
