Earlier this year, Amsterdam jazz platform and label Super-Sonic Jazz called on the Dutch jazz scene to submit tracks for the new compilation album ‘Super-Sonic Jazz Family Vol. 2’. This album is the sequel to Vol. 1, featuring artists such as Greyheads and Yannick Hiwat. More than 150 artists sent in their best work. The plan to make an album with 12 tracks was dismissed, and an extensive compilation album with as many as 31 tracks became a reality. The album will be launched in bundles in the run-up, and on Thursday, 16 November, during Super-Sonic Jazz Festival week, the whole album will be released on Spotify, Bandcamp and Vinyl. The release will be celebrated with a free release party at Rush Hour on the same day, featuring DJs, drinks and all the artists from the album.
