Super-Sonic Jazz Festival 2023 · Enter The Gallowstreet

Gallowstreet has been a household name for more than a decade. The Amsterdam-based brass band is known to many for their energetic, skilful blowing that brought them to Lowlands, North Sea Jazz, Dour and many other festivals at home and abroad. Gallowstreet mixes genres with a mission: it must be danceable, recognizable and compelling. Call it Giorgio Moroder meets Ennio Morricone, Justice meets Jungle, Daft Punk with horns, a bit of dance, fusion jazz with 4 to the floor stadium rock. A new album from the band will be released in the spring of 2024, reflecting on all the adventures the band has had in its ten-year existence. The band’s sound harkens back to its debut album, “Battleplan,” and is full of combative horn anthems. At Super-Sonic Jazz, Gallowstreet is coming to give a preview.
