DJ HARRISON

DJ Harrison is a multi-talented musician, producer, and Grammy-nominated artist from Richmond, Virginia. Growing up in a musically rich environment, he developed an early fascination with instruments, starting with drums and expanding to keyboards and bass. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s jazz studies program, he approaches songwriting with a meticulous, experimental mindset. DJ Harrison co-founded the Jellowstone music production studio and record label, fostering numerous local artists and projects, including his band Butcher Brown. His solo work includes acclaimed albums on Stones Throw, and he continues to pay homage to his musical roots with new releases like “Shades of Yesterday.
