On March 26, 2024, the documentary ‘Getting It Back: The Story Of Cymande’ will be screened in the Main Hall of Paradiso. In the early 70s, the British group released three beautiful albums in America and toured intensively until their split in 1975. Their music received little support in England at the time but was discovered by DJs in New York who found it perfect for emerging genres like hip-hop, disco, and house. Songs like ‘Bra’, ‘Dove’, and ‘Brothers On The Slide’ became classics. After being rediscovered by producers, Cymande’s music was sampled by The Fugees, De La Soul, Wu Tang Clan & MC Solaar, leading to its sound growing and gaining new generations of fans. Now, realizing their popularity, they’ve reunited and are performing live shows again. In the documentary ‘Getting It Back: The Story Of Cymande,’ you’ll discover the timeless sound and story of Cymande, featuring contributions from Mark Ronson, Prince Paul, Cut Chemist, Peanut Butter Wolf, and Khruangbin.

On April 22nd, Cymande will play a sold out show in Paradiso as well.
