Extend the Knowledge: Balimaya Project

Balimaya Project continues their journey through the African Diaspora with the song “Seasons of Baraka”.

Baraka is a word used in Maninka and many other West African languages, stemming from the Islamic principle of spiritual increment. As such, Baraka is not a state of being. It is an ever flowing spiritual energy, blessings and grace that can touch human beings and things. 

The track is a celebration of their growth and constant flow of spiritual energy. “Seasons of Baraka” is the first piece of a new body of work called When The Dust Settles. Listen below.
