Super-Sonic Jazz presents: Super-Sonic Showcase Fest
Together with OSHI and Steppin’ Into Tomorrow, Super-Sonic Jazz is introducing a brand new festival at Paradiso: Super-Sonic Showcase Fest. In addition to the annual Super-Sonic Jazz Festival in November, this new initiative offers a stage to emerging talent that pushes the boundaries of jazz, soul, funk, and hip-hop—with a strong focus on the local scene.
Super-Sonic Showcase Fest brings together creators and music lovers, with a line-up that embodies the future of jazz. Expect innovative sounds, artistic cross-pollination, and an energetic atmosphere where talent and creativity take center stage. It’s a festival for curious listeners who want to explore what’s alive, growing, and blooming in the Dutch music scene.
Super-Sonic Showcase Fest is not just a platform for musical talent, but also a meeting place for artists, listeners, and lovers of music. A space where musicians can connect, spark new collaborations, and exchange ideas. Here, the local scene is not only celebrated but also strengthened, a space where the future of the scene becomes tangible.

BRINTEX COLLECTIVE
Brintex Collective is a collaboration between innovative musicians from Rotterdam, led by keyboardist Brenn Luiten. The six-piece band brings Brenn’s compositions to life in a vibrant mix of jazz, hip-hop, and electronic influences. Citing inspiration from artists like Alfa Mist, Joe Armon-Jones, and Robert Glasper, Brintex Collective is coming this summer with a brand new live set full of tracks from their upcoming album Make It Make Sense, set to be released on September 19.
Siegfried Hart is an energetic drummer and composer from Aruba, blending the vibrant rhythms of the Antilles with jazz and hip-hop. His debut album Awa (Papiamento for “water”) is set to be released soon—a musical journey full of emotion, healing, and self-reflection. From deep grooves to experimental tracks featuring guest vocalists, Awa showcases Siegfried’s effortless fusion of tradition and innovation
ii
The music of Amsterdam-based collective ii is a blend of hip-hop, funk, and electronic influences, a sound they describe as modern soul. Intimate, yet grand. On stage, ii draws you into their enchanting world with one goal: to reflect the full spectrum of the human experience. They’re currently hard at work on their debut album, but on July 2nd, they’ll give us a first taste.
Halfpastseven ft. Tallulah Rose
Halfpastseven made a strong impression with his debut Music To Walk Home To, both on vinyl and on stage—with hypnotic live sets full of tension, build-ups, and unexpected twists. His new album The Calm and The Storm will be released on May 16 and builds on that foundation: an immersive journey through electronic music, where hip-hop, house, and experimental sounds merge into one seamless flow. With rhythms that get under your skin, groovy basslines, and warm harmonies, it speaks to both dancers and dreamers alike.
At Super-Sonic Showcase Fest, he’ll bring this to the stage—joined by Tallulah Rose for a guest appearance.
Imaginarium
The Imaginarium is a place where the line between reality and imagination is blurred. That’s also the aim of the project led by keyboardist and producer Anton de Bruin: to blur the boundary between club music and concert music, as we’ve already seen in cities like London and LA. With a musical background that includes projects like Dragonfruit, Peter Somuah, and Y.O.P.E, this brand-new project is a kaleidoscope of influences, merging dub, afrobeat, cinematic elements, and electronics into one cohesive whole.
With their debut album, they began making a name for themselves last year, performing at festivals like North Sea Jazz and Grasnapolsky. Their new album Sounds of the Eclipse is ready for launch, and with it, the band is set to shake dance floors across Europe.
Helena Casella
The Belgian-Brazilian Helena Casella is a composer and vocalist. In her music, she explores genres like R&B, neo-soul, hip-hop, modern jazz, and Brazilian rhythms, which she weaves together in her own distinctive way to create a unique sound. Through this, Helena gives shape to her thoughts and daydreams. Her voice is soft yet intense, and her vocal reflections blend familiar rhythms and harmonies with elegant, unexpected twists.
Casella deliberately opts for an organic sound, using live instrumentation and as few digital effects as possible. Whether performing solo or with a seven-piece band, Helena consistently draws her audience into a story that balances between the intimate and the ethereal. Earlier this year, she released her debut album Pit of Impressions, a stunning record that clearly showcases her artistic vision.
y.o.p.e.
Y.O.P.E. is the musical experiment of bassist Joop de Graaf, who you might also know as the bassist for Brintex Collective, Imaginarium, Diana Dzhabbar Quartet, or Dandana. Inspired by his broad musical taste, Joop started his own project together with drummer Luis Possollo. In early 2025, Y.O.P.E. released their debut album peer pleasure. In it, the band explores an intriguing electronic soundscape, with a danceable fusion of improvisation and beat-oriented music as the common thread.
