ROSEYE, led by Tallulah Rose, combines psychedelic grooves with ethereal narratives. Their debut album, due out in April 2024 on the Super-Sonic Jazz label, explores themes of sexuality, spirituality, nature and grief. This 5-piece ensemble from Amsterdam conveys their diverse European roots in a mix of soul, jazz, gospel, hip-hop and electronica. Guided by inspiration from Jordan Rakei, Hiatus Kaiyote and Robert Glasper, ROSEYE’s music is an honest, grooving and explosive but also intimately soulful communion of sounds. During Super-Sonic Jazz Festival, ROSEYE was in the Upper Hall, and the room was PACKED, people were waiting and listening on the stairs. And rightly so: you don’t want to miss ROSEYE. On 25 January, the band will come and give it another go for those who missed out.
